A Muslim’s Open Letter to Hamas — You Are True Soldiers…
Dear habibis, Assalamu Alaikum and marhaba.
I just wanted congratulate you for your stunning offensive that took Israel and the world by surprise. You have shown the world your very effective incursions using a combination of assets, namely, 5,000 rockets, drones, paragliders and men on the ground who broke through the fences. It was like watching the next insert of the ‘Mission Impossible’ franchise. You clearly outwitted Mossad and have received praise and accolades from around the world. What is most heartening is that you have achieved a specific victory out of many victories from your attacks. What is this victory? You have attracted the support of one of the most famous global influencers and human rights activist that mankind has ever known; the ex-porn star, Mia Khalifa, your fellow countryman (although she is Lebanese American). It is a shame that Playboy has cancelled her contract because of her support for your illustrious organisation, nevertheless, congratulations are in order. Why does she need Playboy when she can play with you? May you be blessed with the endorsements of more impeccable porn stars who are the finest role models known to Man. Yes, I know, there is another well known B-list celebrity who seems to have endorsed your struggle, Jeremy Corbyn, the ex-leader of the UK Labour Party. I am truly impressed with your well oiled PR machine.
But it doesn’t end there. You planned your noble attacks well in advance, knowing that you would be killing civilians in Israel thereby attracting a tenfold Armageddon level retaliation by the IDF whereby Palestinian civilians will be killed. At the time of writing this letter, there have been around 2,000 Israeli and Palestinian deaths combined. There are more deaths to come thanks to you. The more innocent people die among your Jewish brothers and your Palestinian brothers, the more credit you clock up because you have caused this particular escalation. Oh sorry, Jews are not your brothers are they? You hate them and want to drive them out to the sea in the same way Pharoah wanted to drive them out to the sea. The only difference here is that you prefer for the sea not to part but to drown the Jews. I am sure you will receive a massive vote of thanks from their prophet (who is also one of our prophets), Moses (AS) as you seek to annihilate his people. You want to achieve what the mighty army of Pharaoh could not achieve. Good luck.
Ok, forget the Jews. Your glorious marhaba missiles also had casualties from the Arab Israeli community. You probably forgot that 20% of Israelis are Arab Muslims and Christians, but that’s ok. Let’s hope your missiles were smart enough to avoid Israeli Muslims and target Israeli Christians only; you would need circumcision detection technology installed in your missiles. I understand that your leader’s daughter has been treated in an Israeli hospital. May Allah strengthen her. Let’s hope your rockets don’t land on this hospital. And I truly hope that you and your chums do not make takfir (excommunication) of her because she has been treated by the evil Jews. Your organisation was asked about your leader’s daughter’s care in an Israeli hospital, but there was no response. Ooops!
Apart from the deaths of civilians, your organisation faces an existential threat which is unprecedented. Thanks to your heroics, the danger of annihilation of Hamas is clear and present…and imminent. You are the only organisation I know of that has planned for its own destruction and taking down civilians with you. Mashallah. Our noble heroes like Saladdin (R) and Khalid bin Waleed (R) needed to take a leaf out of your playbook. More importantly, Prophet Muhammad (S) and his Companions (R) and his Family (R) clearly missed a trick when they commanded followers NEVER to target civilians in war but to treat them, especially women and children, kindly. The Hamas Charter should have been revealed to the Prophet instead of the Quran, right?
Children are the greatest victims in conflicts such as this. So, I invite you, dear valiant brothers, to take a look at the pictures below.
Your magnificent efforts have yielded these results of terrified children on both sides, as well as their deaths. Please do a Google search and take a look at the pictures of other children who have died. Allah has granted them Paradise and may He bless their parents and strengthen them with patience. This was your gift to them. I heard that 40 toddlers were killed in a kibbutz and some of them were decapitated. I am trying to verify this report. If it is true, then this is truly amazing. You have set a precedent that not even ISIS nor Al Qaeda had the gall to do. But you did it. The world is in awe of your depravity. Your biggest fan, Mia Khalifa, wrote about history looking back. Well, it will look back at the massacre of innocent children and other civilians, especially on the Palestinian side thanks to you. This is history in the making, this is a true moment of joy. Ah, but you will retort by saying that Israel had bombed Palestinians till kingdom come. Yes, I agree that there is a case to blame Israel for some of its actions against Palestinians. That is why there have been condemnations from various organisations, governments and the UN. What is most striking is that many Israelis themselves had called out their own government for their mistreatment of Palestinians. At the time of writing this, the Israeli retaliation has cut the supplies and electricity to Gaza and innocent Palestinian civilians are suffering as a result. Of course there should be condemnation of this action. But what plan did you put in place to help these Palaestinian civilians knowing how Israel would retaliate after giving warnings for civilians to evacuate? Why didn’t you plan for an evacuation given that you planned attacks on Israeli civilians months in advance? Where are the surrounding Arab countries to take in the Gazan refugees? The fact that Egypt refuses to allow refugees in shows utter contempt they have for their Palestinian brothers by dumping responsibility for them to cowards like you and to Israel. A tragedy of justice. HOW DARE YOU tell Gazan residents to stay at home when they have been warned by the IDF to leave Gaza in order to preserve their lives. You know perfectly well that Palestinian death tolls will increase when you have forced them to stay in Gaza. You wish for their deaths to feature in your mass marketing campaign in order to generate plutonium grade anger and sympathy from the Muslim world. A mind-bending twisting of reality to breaking point; the most sophisticated sales pitch I have come across.
Israelis and Jews do criticise Israel for their treatment of Palestinians, and they can voice their criticisms without the fear of arrest or torture. What about Palestinians who criticise you? They would be killed wouldn’t they? Nice one. That is why the Palestinian rights campaigners such as Husam Zomlot, Mohammed El-Kurdi, Linda Sarsour, Ilhan Omar etc. refuse to condemn you. When Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib was asked about reports of Jewish babies being decapitated, she refused to answer. Was she afraid of you? I am sure what is happening is that there are multiple conflict points within their neural networks where they are having to deal with contradictions between the genuine Palestinian self-determination, with the acts of terror that your group has been unleashing but which they remain silent about, with the principles of our religion which condemns violence against civilians; I’m sure they have Quranic verses and Prophetic hadith statements condemning targeting of civilians (mentioned below) circulating in their heads trying to land somewhere on these conflict points, but failing to do so. So, how can they answer direct questions about your group’s terrorism other than to divert away from your actions towards blaming everything on Israel. A truly immaculate diversion. Well done for having an iron grip on your lackeys in the US Congress and elsewhere. But wait, there is more.
Your influencing and networking skills have reached stratospheric levels, which would be the envy of any corporation and organisation. You scumbags have somehow clearly worked your magic on the Imams, scholars and da’ees (Muslims who invite people to Islam) around the world. I am scanning cyberspace but I have yet to find one Imam or scholar or da’ee who condemns your attacks on innocent civilians (11th October update: brother Muhammad Hijab, a well respected da’ee in the UK did condemn attacks on civilians yesterday. May Allah reward him. He was not afraid to tell it as it is from an Islamic point of view. Of course, he condemned Israel vociferously and Ben Shapiro of Daily Wire. There should be a level headed dialogue between these two fine gentlemen.) I look up to many of these Imams and da’ees as they are our guides. But your mind bending manipulation of our religion has deceived these Imams. Your honourable leader stated that the attacks were a part of the Prophetic mission and the world watched him and his chums start a prayer ritual to celebrate your victories. He called upon the Muslim word to join him in the fight. I marvel at the way he manipulated our religion in the same way the big daddy of new Babylon, the late Saddam Hussein, manipulated our religion by attacking Israel, choreographed praying in a mosque, claimed that he was a descendent of Prophet Muhammad (S) and claimed to have had a dream where Prophet Muhammad (S) told Saddam that his missiles were pointed in the wrong direction (Saudi Arabia) thus implying that they should have been pointing towards Israel. Your fine manipulation runs in parallel to his. You waved your magic wand or used a Jedi mind trick somehow to hypnotise these respected Imams and scholars to support your efforts implicitly; these very Imams who had condemned Al Qaeda and ISIS before because they went against the orders and edicts of the Quran and Sunnah to avoid harming civilians. But for some reason they remain silent about you. You are a genius. But don’t worry, I am calling out these respected scholars to open their eyes, man-up and condemn your actions.
Let me quote a few things for you. These are your Kryptonite i.e. the Quran and the Sunnah (Prophetic way). I will not quote Quranic verses directly as I do not feel comfortable placing these verses from the Creator of the universe (or universes) in the same article as the pictures of your porn star fan. But you can look up ch. 5 vs 8 and ch. 2 vs 190. Also, please read ch.5 vs 32 which gives a reminder of the laws that were given to the Children of Israel where killing one person is the equivalent of killing the whole of mankind (found in Rabbinical writings). Now, if I can suss out your thinking, you would immediately go to the next verse (5:33) just as anti-Islam critics do and claim that this verse cancels the previous verse. No it doesn’t. Read the verses carefully.
But let me quote the words of the Prophet (S), “Do not cause harm nor return harm.” (Ibn Majah). His sword even had the following inscription written on it, “Verily, the worst of people in insolence are those who strike at whoever did not strike them, a man who kills those who did not fight him.” (Al-Bayhaqi)
The next best person after the Prophet (S) was the first Caliph, Abu Bakr (R). This is the advice he gave to real warriors (not fake warriors of Hamas wearing fake Gucci shirts): “You will find a people who claim to have totally given themselves to God. Leave them to what they claim to have given themselves… Do not kill women or children or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place. Do not slaughter sheep or camels except for food. Do not burn bees and do not scatter them. Do not steal from the spoils, and do not be cowardly.” (Malik Ibn Anas).
These heroes of Islam were part of the best generation; you and your fellow compatriots of ISIS, Al-Qaeda etc. have dragged the Palestinian and Muslim ummah down to be the worst of generations. Article 3 of the Cairo Declaration 1990 states the following, based on Shariah (Islamic Law):
a) In the event of the use of force and in case of armed conflict, it is not permissible to kill non-belligerents such as old men, women and children. The wounded and the sick shall have the right to medical treatment; and prisoners of war shall have the right to be fed, sheltered, and clothed. It is prohibited to mutilate dead bodies. It is a duty to exchange prisoners of war and to arrange visits or reunions of the families separated by the circumstances of war.
b) It is prohibited to fell trees, to damage crops or livestock, and to destroy the enemy’s civilian buildings and installations by shelling, blasting or any other means.
You have stuck two fingers up at Shariah, yet to claim to follow the Prophetic mission. Cognitive dissonance at its finest. I am sure your mothers are very proud of bringing up fine human beings.
The death tolls will continue to rise on both sides. But what the Abrahamic brotherhood of Muslims, Jews and Christians (and people of other faiths) can do is to pray hard for peace, as well as take practical steps to protect each other elsewhere in the world. Over the last few days where I have been working in North London, where Jewish communities reside. I did keep an eye out for any miscreants that wished to harm that community which is living in fear. But I was heartened to see people going about their lives normally where Orthodox Jewish men are still wearing the yarmulke and women are wearing head scarves. They should not change their attire one bit and should not live in fear. For every Muslim extremist who wishes harm on Jews, there will be a hundred Muslims who will help and protect them. My advice to Muslims outside of Israel is to keep an eye out, and ensure that miscreant extremists do not cause harm. I also stopped at a Jewish cafe. Here is the scenario. You have a Bangladeshi Muslim, walk into a Jewish cafe to savour a kosher beef sandwich with a fruit drink from Israel, served by an Algerian Muslim. This is a microcosm of what Israeli society actually looks like. Does that look like apartheid? Under your leadership of Gaza since 2006, Palestinians trusted you to improve their welfare, economy, healthcare, education and security. Gaza could have been another Dubai. Moreover, New Palestine should have been created that exists peacefully with Israel, instead, you chose to misuse funds and goodwill from the Muslim world to buy rockets to kill people and invite retaliations. You’ve really fucked it up haven’t you?
In your list of stunning achievements, you have been successful in killing Israeli (Jewish and Arab) civilians directly and Palestinian civilians indirectly. There is one other achievement of note. You have destroyed the Palestinian flag and blown up genuine Palestinian self-determination to smithereens. The flag was meant to represent the aspirations of a Palestinian state, but now you have fully integrated it into your image of ISIS-style terror and extremism. When the flag is flown, it is now equated with terror. Palestinians can no longer fly their flags with pride in Western countries thanks to your slick (sick) marketing campaign. I pray that the Palestinian majority can disengage from you and other extremist groups so that they reclaim their flag, which belongs to them, not to you. In the same way, the British flag was once monopolised by the racists and White supremacists in the UK over 30 years ago. The flag was akin to white nationalism. Now, the good people of Britain have reclaimed the flag and we can fly it with pride. Palestinians can and must do the same.
Let’s talk about Judgement Day. You need to worry (so do I). I am just wondering how you will justify your actions when facing our Creator, given that He and His messenger (S) gave us specific instructions not to harm civilians, especially women and children, in any conflict. Blood is on your hands. Sorry to break the news, but Mia Khalifa will not be able to save you on that fateful Day; even her bezonkers, as ginormous as camel humps, would not be able to shield you from the heat of Hellfire. Yes, I know…I have to look at myself first before judging others and I am sure my destiny is the same as yours because of the numerous sins I have committed (only God’s grace can save us). But hey ho, at least we can request for some entertainment from Mia Khalifa whilst we are being roasted.
The title of this article is, ‘Open Letter to Hamas — You Are True Soldiers…’ When you first read the title I am sure you had a massive erection spanning the length of Burj Khalifa. But let me temper it down. You will notice the three dots. The title is incomplete. What I mean is that you are the true soldiers of Satan. However, there is and exit route to save yourself from Israel’s Armageddon level retaliation. Lay down your weapons, recognise the state of Israel like your PLO brothers did, let peace break out and Abrahamic brotherhood prevail. What would prophets Abraham (AS), Isaac (AS) and Ishmael (AS) want for their descendants? When I was in Dubai in 2018 I made a prayer that it recognises Israel, lo and behold, two years later the UAE did recognise it. You think this is an act of kufr, right? I also pray that Saudi Arabia does the right thing to recognise Israel soon inshaAllah despite you trying to scupper the initiative. If Prince Muhammad bin Salman does pull off this historic initiative, he will be the most positive and transformative leader that the Middle East and the Muslim world has seen since the fall of the Ottoman Sultanate over 100 years ago because peace, prosperity and Abrahamic brotherhood based on common Abrahamic religious principles must prevail.
Free Palestine once and for all from oppression that Israel has been criticised for, but more importantly, from Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and other miscreants who wish destruction of human life. Then there will be no reason for Israel to retaliate.

Hasan Ali Imam was born in Bangladesh in 1972 and brought up in the UK. He has engaged in respectful debate and dialogue with those which disagree with him, which culminated in his candidacy for the British Parliament in 2005. He continues to be involved with the UK Conservative Party. He is a regular caller to LBC Radio (UK). Hasan has also been involved with the UK Government’s PREVENT counter terrorism strategy as a trainer to public servants on how to prevent young people from venturing into extremism. He also draws on his own experience of attempted recruitment by extremist groups in the 1990s. Hasan has authored three books.
1. United States of Anger — Why Linda Sarsour’s Rage and Far Left Violence Cannot Move Mountains.’ This book is a response to Linda Sarsour (an American Palestinian Socialist activist), and her far left compatriots who supported the violence and rampage that took hold in the US after the tragic killing of George Floyd.
2. ‘BAME — Breaking Through Barriers.’ This book deals with the race space in the UK. It responds to critics who state that ethnic minorities have not progressed due to institutional racism. He tackles the issue head on and invites critics to dialogue and debate. This book was praised by the British Government.
3. ‘Aisha and Fatima — Ladies of Heaven. A Sunni Response to Shiaism.’ This is specific to the main Islamic sects of Sunni and Shia. The book captures dialogues that Hasan (a Sunni) had with Shia Muslims over the last 20 years.
A fourth book project is under way for publication soon entitled, ‘Why the Far Right are Far Wrong.’ Yes, you guessed it. It includes responses to the Far Right and dialogue with some of its members.
Hasan has also written an article on ‘Medium.com’ to challenge the anti-vaccine narrative from his own Conservative side, including Dr. Simone Gold in the US, and has invited dialogue and debate with anti-vaxxers. He has engaged with feminists and the pro-choice advocates in relation to abortion. He has also engaged in dialogue with an Israeli Jew and an anti-Israeli Muslim on the State of Israel and the importance of Jews, Christians and Muslims to unite under the Abrahamic brotherhood.
